Newly arrivied in R.D. Laing's hometown, Glasgow, my divided self takes photographs of live music that aspire to the legacy of another legendary British philosopher, John Peel.

When I lived in Brighton I put on Transitional Spaces, an exhibition at Resident about bands, fans and the spaces in between them & me. These can be viewed in their dedicated section here.

In May 2009 I brought together Brighton on Brighton, an exhibition of the city's music by some great local photographers that was held at the Prince Albert. You can see my selection in the Brighton music section.

I'll shoot digital but prefer film. Occasionally I'm offered commission and sometimes people buy my photographs. Most of black & whites are hand printed on Ilford paper and can be negotiated as reasonaby priced prints. Some of those in the atp section appeared in the DVD booklet that accompanied the film, All Tomorrow's Parties.

I've recently had stuff in online music sites, the Quietus and the Collapse Board. I used to contribute to the magazines Careless Talk Costs LivesPlan B & Artrocker.

Thanks to Rowan for laying down the awesome foundations for this website that I'll continue to update. All comment by email or if you see me at a show is welcome.
